Warning: TONS of House Photos!

Well you've all been asking so here we go! Just remember this is what the house looks like now, a.k.a. I've done NOTHING with it, some of the stuff inside was left by the previous owners, etc. Please consider these BEFORE pictures...someday when I've put my touch on things I'll post AFTER pictures (emphasis on SOMEDAY!)

OUTSIDE VIEWS:

Front

Side/Garage (P.S. if I win those awnings will be the first thing to go!)

Around to backyard/deck

Back of house/deck

Deck out the back door where I'll be sipping lemonade all summer! ;)

BACKYARD VIEW FROM THE DECK:
Little Shed and Fire Pit

Nice view...aside from the nasty overgrown bushes that need attention

Not sure yet what this tree is but I think it might be FRUIT! ;)

UPSTAIRS LIVING AREA:
Right inside front door into the living room

Dining area

Kitchen (I know it's outdated, but just wait for my SOMEDAY/AFTER pictures!) We already have a stainless steel dishwasher that will begin being installed tonight!

View of living room from the dining room (that's not our stuff in there and the curtains won't be staying either! And someday we'll expose the hardwoods under the less than desirable green carpet!)

UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS AND BATHROOM:
hallway (blue room and yellow room on left, bathroom and green room on right, closet at the end)

The boy's room...we'll probably keep it that blue color

Master bedroom - paint color will eventually change and don't worry, there's another closet on the other side of the room.

Office/future bedroom/junk room (these are the original hardwoods that actually go throughout the house)

Bathroom - the doors on the shower have already been pulled down. It's too hard to bath kids with a shower door! Someday, tile floors and new paint/vanity.

DOWNSTAIRS:

Family room (with a bar that will be re-purposed into toy storage)

View of family room from other side (obviously the wood paneling will be painted and someday the carpet will be replaced! Oh and those light fixtures have got to go!)

Newly done 3/4 bathroom that sits randomly in the middle of the storage/laundry room, but hey we'll take what we can get!

Laundry/storage - and the bathroom straight ahead

Super cute little boy and storage under the stairs ;)

Last but not least the garage...only one car, but plenty of storage space as well. (This is all there junk still in there.)

And there you have it...what you've all been waiting for! ;) Our new digs...well soon anyway. Anyone want to come pack up my house and move me!?! Being 8 months pregnant I'm just not feeling it!

Home Sweet Home

We of course had to snap a few shots of the first time we went into OUR HOUSE as the actual owners! I promise I'll post more pictures later of the whole thing, but that may take me some time. Plus I'll have to post pictures again once I put my own touch on the place! It's 48 years old, and not super big, but we love it and we know it's where we're supposed to be right now. We're so grateful that the stars have aligned and we finally have our own home!

This is actually the basement door, but we probably won't use the front door that often. This door's right off the driveway. Dean unlocked the top lock...

...and I unlocked the bottom lock. ;) We had to make sure we were both in on the big moment!

Tanner and I on the back deck taken from the backyard.

We are HAPPY homeowners

Tanner's already right at home

HOMEOWNERS

So it's official...the papers are signed and we're HOMEOWNERS!!! Not sure how long it will be until we're moved in and settled, but it's officially ours!

A little Spring crafting...

Whipped these up for my Visiting Teachies this month. NO, I'm not an amazing visiting teacher...I'm just trying to make up for the couple month break my companion and I have been on! ;) I just white washed the clay pots with a little watered down acrylic paint...filled them with Reeses Easter Eggs (YUM!)...and made some paper flowers found here and here (with a bit of my own twist) to stick in the pots. Not too hard...a little time consuming but not too bad. Happy Spring!

My MEN

When we saw Tanner's chocolate-ice-cream covered face last night Dean couldn't help but make him look a little like HIMSELF! HAHAHAHA!

Lotion Anyone!?

Friday night Dean had an away game and didn't get home until later than usual. I was trying to fix some dinner while Tanner was "playing" in the living room. I should have known he was being WAY too quiet to be up to any good. I came down to this...

Man I just LOOOVVEE being a mom! ;) At least it was good smelling baby lotion instead of diaper cream or something worse!

Turkeys!

We've lived here for a year and a half now, but it's still a little weird when I look outside my window and see these big guys standing there. We would see turkeys in Utah but we had to go up in the mountains to see them. Tanner gets SO excited when they decide to drop by and he's always sad when they take off into the woods. These two were RIGHT outside the window during lunch the other day so we grabbed the camera to catch a few shots. They were gobbling and everything!

"Self, Mom! Self!"

This cute boy came waddling down the hall to me on Saturday brimming with pride that he had put his shoes on all by himself. He yelled, "Self, Mom! Self!," as he almost fell over because they were so hard to walk in, but boy was he proud. What a little stud! If he can put them on the wrong feet he should be able to put them on the right feet too right!? At least we're headed in the right direction! ;)

St. Patricks Day

We made sure to celebrate with all sorts of green food for dinner the other night! In fact my fingers are still green today after fixing it! Ha! Hope you enjoyed your St. Patty's day as well!

A Red Balloon

Dean had Tanner with him when he bought me flowers for our anniversary the other day and I guess Tanner was cute enough to get a free balloon out of the flower lady. He came home with this red balloon and was wearing that red shirt and I just couldn't resist a quick photo shoot. And of course I couldn't resist sharing a few photos with all of you! ;)

Project Recipe is underway...

I got this idea from my super cute friend Melissa and I thought it was genius! It took some searching to find a spiral bound photo album these days, but it can be done. I know Target has them from time to time and I found mine at JoAnns. Because mine are smaller albums I actually have four of them. One for desserts, main dishes, side dishes, and breads or whatever else I decide (probably 2 for desserts! ;) ). Only recipes that have been tried and tested, and approved by the family go in here. These will be my go-to cookbooks for regular cooking. Of course I can always try out other recipes and see if they make the cuts and then add them as well! PLUS...because it's in the plastic photo cover, when ingredients splash on it it's easily wiped off! (I don't know about you, but all of my regular recipes look a little used...some of the words are even hard to read after being smeared and splashed on by all sorts of ingredients.) AND my photo album stands up so it works as a recipe holder as well. Score!

See they stand up great, and they're CUTE too!

I typed up the recipes in Word and printed them on 4x6 index cards and slipped them in the album. And now I have digital copies in case I want to print more or send them to people.

I plan on covering the "Photographs" sign with "Main Dishes," etc. so I know which book has which recipes.

Happy 4th Anniversary Sweetheart!

Been married to this handsome man for 4 years now! It's been four years of ups and downs and everything in-between, but I wouldn't trade any of it! I'm sure glad you picked me...and that you were patient enough for me to wise up and fall for you! ;) Can't wait for the rest of eternity together. I love you babe!
