Paces

We of course have to hit up Paces every time we're in Utah.  If we're lucky, we manage to make it there a few times.  I had to settle for a Country Burger without cheese thanks to Keaton's stomach sensitivities, but it was still delicious!  Kevin and the boys joined us too and we even bumped into the Swensons (from my parent's ward) bringing their grandkids for dinner during "Grandma and Grandpa Camp."  Scott Swenson shared a valuable lesson with them that he hoped they had learned that week....."not everything is the end of the world!" Hahaha!  I guess his cute little ones like to lose their minds over little things just like my boys.  We got a good laugh and have brought it up a time or two sense when our kids could use that reminder.

We Love to see the Temple

Grandma Hilton was lucky to score appointments to do Baptisms for the Dead at the Bountiful Temple.  They're extra hard to come by lately, so we jumped at the chance.  Bryce was nice enough to join us and we just loved being in the Lord's Holy House.  And since we were so close we stopped to see Grandpa Leavitt's grave afterward.  That's another sacred place to me.  We grabbed some Swig drinks and headed home.  Thanks to Kevin, Helen, and Grandpa Hilton Keaton was well cared for while we snuck away.

Silver Lake

Coming off of one seriously, snowy winter, our favorite Silver Lake was more full than we've seen it in years.  We couldn't pass up the chance to try our hand at fishing.  Turns out Kevin was the only one to get lucky enough to catch anything, but we still had fun trying.  Braddock brought his vintage polaroid camera and caught some good shots.  It's one of the most beautiful places on the planet and I just soaked it all in.  Grateful Eric, Kevin, and Grandpa all joined us too.

Keaton's first fishing trip.  Hopefully his first of many!

Kevin always shows us up, but he also practices a lot more than the rest of us.

It was a bit chilly outside, and unfortunately, the blanket and wrap I brought for Keaton got wet on the floor of the van on the drive up.  We made due with Dean's sweatshirt and Keaton managed to take a nap tucked safely inside.  But, it made for quite the funny site to those walking by I'm sure.  Hahaha!

Hilton Reunion

We pulled together a little Hilton extended family reunion while we were out.  Of course Todd and Pam are on their mission in the Philippines so we missed them, but it was fun to see and catch up with most everyone else.  I failed to take very many pictures.....mostly just of people holding Keaton.  Haha!  And when the cousins all get together at the park, they always cook-up some task like collecting seeds or pods and this was no exception.

Chalk Fun

We sure love cousin time.  The kids all had a blast chalking Grandma and Grandpa's sidewalk and driveway together.  They made some surprisingly impressive art and even better memories.

Meeting Keaton

Keaton was a hot commodity with all the cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.  It was so cute to watch everyone love on him....

He pulled poor Char's hair.  Luckily she still loves him anyway.

Bonnie is a baby lover.

Extra special to meet Great Grandma Leavitt

Lukey loves Keaton so much that even months later he still talks about him daily, saves seats for him everywhere they go (sacrament meeting, amusement park rides, the dinner table), and tells every stranger he encounters all about "Baby Keaton."  I love it so much!
Fell asleep on Uncle Kevy

Aunt Helen is the best!  Thanks to them he has his summer wardrobe covered.  This is one of the outfits they got Keaton.

Uncle Scott's getting in some snuggles in preparation to be a GRANDPA!

Em even managed to hold him even with Baby Liam in her tummy taking up all her lap space.

Clesse is the sweetest with Keaton.
