Gingerbread Houses 2023

We’ve officially started Christmasing over here! Gingerbread Houses ✔️ The boys all built theirs while Keaton snacked on graham crackers, and most of them enlisted Mom’s help to decorate.  That's just how I like it! 🎄

Thanksgiving 2023

Happy Thanksgiving from our crew! 🦃 It was extra fun having people from both sides of our family in town this year! Grateful for so many things, but especially for my boys and the chance to learn and grow and improve. And I love watching them do the same. We are a work in progress over here and I’m grateful for their patience as we all try and figure life out.
Loved adding Keaton to this tradition this year.  SO very grateful for these boys of mine.
Just catching a little Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Char's lap.

Cute place settings for everyone.

The kids table.  Missing a few and a few who didn't want to eat their food.  Haha!

Tanner's so good with kids.  These cousins loved playing with him.

On the player piano with Uncle Dean.
It was frigid but still worth trying out Grandpa's spinning swing.

Post turkey comma.
We're cut from the same cloth. ;)
Pie time!!

The first thing Clesse and Luke could get behind.....ICE CREAM!
Playing a little "Roll a Turkey" with Aunt Andrea.  A title I take seriously.

I also snagged this tablecloth for the kids to color.  We just threw it out on the floor so they could go to town.
It's frightening how many hours these kids are willing to sit and watch someone else play video games.
And it wouldn't be a Nelson gathering without a round of Rage.  I'm guessing Landon's losing by the looks on his face.  Hahahaha!

Thankful Turkeys 2023

We were excited to include Kevin and Helen's family in our annual Thankful Turkey making.  We usually do them the first week of November but this year was CRAZY!  But it worked out that we put it off until they were here so we'll just be grateful for the crazy.  We just busted out paper and colored pencils and markers and let everyone have at it.  We got some varied and unique turkeys this year.

Finished up FHE with indoor smores! Don't regret this purchase.
Tracing this kid's hand was tricky.  He's the cutest!
Bridger cheated and used his school turkey but added things he's grateful for.  At some point along the way he lost a leg.  Haha!  He's thankful for: Yummy Food, Family, Book of Mormon, Sleep, Friends, Mammals/Animals.
