Christmas 2015

Christmas morning Tanner and Landon were up by 6:30am.  We told them they'd have to wait till Braddock was awake, so they quietly played in their room until almost 8am when Braddock finally woke up.  A Christmas miracle for sure!  At that point Dean and I dragged our tired selves out of bed to go see what Santa had brought the night before.  Everyone was thrilled with what they got so we took a break for breakfast and then proceeded to open the rest of the gifts under the tree after we had eaten.  There's nothing quite like Christmas morning.  Amidst the craziness of gifts there was the sweet thank you's, and excitement of watching the boys give gifts to each other.  It's been so fun having a sweet baby so fresh from heaven this Christmas season.  Bridger's served as a constant reminder of Baby Jesus who's miraculous birth was the greatest gift we'll ever receive.  How thankful we are not only at Christmas time, but always for our Savior, His life, His love, and His sacrifice for each of us.  All we have and all we are is because of Him.  Merry Christmas!

This sweet boy has been spoiling us with smiles these days.  Best gift ever!

Tanner put in a lot of extra effort and made Braddock a little treasure hunt before he could find his gift from him.  It was super cute and Braddock had a lot of fun finding all the clues.

Christmas Eve 2015

We spent Christmas Eve mostly just relaxing as a family.  Dean whipped up some of his festive pancakes for the boys.  We folded the laundry while watching a cheesy Hallmark Christmas movie and delivered one last neighbor gift.  Then we headed over to Grandma and PapPap's for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner.  As usual there was LOTS of delicious food and we all went away fat and happy.  Grandma shared a message about the angels on that holy night so long ago.  I like to think we were all watching as well.  Thanks Grandma and PapPap!  After getting home we quickly read our last scripture countdown about the night of Christ's birth and burned our countdown candle completely down.  We opened our new Christmas jammies, set out cookies for Santa and threw our reindeer food across the lawn.  Then the boys ran off to bed just in time for Santa to drop by.

Baby's first Christmas...

Thanks to our friends, the Weeks, for the darling Christmas outfit.  Bridger's rocking his first Christmas in style.

Five days and counting...

Our weekend was pretty typical for the last weekend before Christmas.  We finished up all our shopping, worked like Santa's elves finishing all our neighbor, friend, and teacher gifts, and went to our Ward Christmas Party.  I was so proud of the boys for all their help.  They actually made the gifts for their classes on their own and assembled the neighbor gifts as well.  It's really nice having kids that are old enough to actually pitch in.  The boys got to visit with Santa at the party and of course asked him for all new things that I've never even heard them mention before.  Good luck with that one Santa!  Tanner and Landon participated in a little nativity with the Primary as Joseph and a shepherd.  And we of course had to all coordinate our outfits for Christmas Sunday today as well.

A Visit With Santa

Last weekend we hit up the local park for a quick visit with Santa while he was in town.  He was even nice enough to bring one of his reindeer along with him for us to see.  The boys all talked to him and no one cried so we'll call it a total success.  They also got to decorate cookies and make some shrinky dink ornaments.  Now that we've taken care of telling Santa what we want for Christmas we can kick back and enjoy the holidays.

This is the low quality, somewhat blurry picture the township took.  But it has us all in it so we love it anyway!

Christmas Lights

Monday night we loaded up our water bottles with hot chocolate and piled into the van for a trip to see some Christmas lights.  We went to a local park that puts up thousands of lights and character cutouts.  They blast Christmas music and you can drive through as many times as you'd like.  The boys thought it was super cool that we let them get out of their car-seats so that they could see better as we drove around at 5 miles an hour.  We sure love this time of year, and the best part of all is spending extra time as a family.
