Father's Day 2019

We pulled out the matching ties in honor of Father’s Day! Can you tell they were all thrilled about it!? 🀣 But really I feel so very blessed to have this guy as my parenting partner! I certainly couldn’t do it without him. He works hard, is always willing to help, and sets a wonderful example to our boys. They all look up to him so much! And we’re both so grateful to have such wonderful fathers who’ve turned out to be amazing Grandfathers as well! Happy Father’s Day to all the men who influence us and our boys for the better!

Throw back to Father's Day 2017

And a peek at breakfast-in-bed from his cute little monkeys...

And each of the boys got to draw Dean during Singing Time in Primary.  Bridger drew two more people than we even have in our family.  Wonder what that means!? ;)  And Landon thought he was pretty funny for drawing Dean with a box head because Tanner used to always draw Dean with a square head when he was little....

Summer Kick-Off Family Luau

We squeezed in our annual, kick-off to summer, family luau. Bridger was all in with the coconut bra and I just can’t stop laughing about it. This year we had Hawaiian haystacks and a watermelon cake and it was a meal that my kids actually didn’t complain about so it was officially a win! 🌴🌺🌞

And we let Chloe out in the yard off her leash for the first time and she didn't bolt!  It was a special luau miracle.  She played fetch for an hour, and now we can work on training her to go to the bathroom without a leash and ultimately without us even having to take her out there!!  Wahoo!!!

Township Fair 2019

Wednesday night we were supposed to have Landon's last baseball game of the season, but the other team couldn't get enough players out so as soon as we found out the game was canceled we started making plans to go to the fair.  The weather was perfect, the crowds weren't too bad, and our kids are the perfect heights and ages that Dean and I could mostly just watch them ride and we didn't have to get sick trying to ride with them.  Hooray!  I loved that Braddock was still thrilled to ride the smaller rides with Bridger, but he was SUPER excited to be tall enough to hang with his big brothers too.  It was especially cute when he was in line for the Farris Wheel and he saw some girls from school and told them how he hates those baby rides and he's way too cool for them, but as soon as they were out of sight he excitedly dragged Bridger on those very rides! Hahahaha!  The best part is that Bridger hasn't stopped talking about it for days now, and building memories like this is one of my very favorite things.  After heading home we whipped up our own funnel cakes and raspberry lemonade slushies to finish off an amazing night.  Now it feels like summer has officially arrived.

Spring Baseball

Landon has had a great season of baseball.  He's really caught on to the game and worked hard to be a good player.  He isn't the star of the team, but man has he improved over the season.  The other night he was playing short stop when his coached yelled to him to pay attention and not 30 seconds later he caught a fly ball to get the second out of the inning.  We all erupted with cheers and he stood there in disbelief for a minute.  They walked away with a win and it was so fun to watch his team all chase him around and tackle him after the game.  He was one happy ball player.  They wrapped up the season with a pool party at one of  his teammates' homes.  We sure enjoyed spring ball this year.

Last Day of School 2019

We finished up the school year with the traditional squirt gun attack as the boys got off their buses.  Bridger and I got Tanner really good and then he joined us to attack Landon and Braddock when their bus arrived.  And then they all joined together to bust through the "Welcome to Summer" sign.  It was a great school year and now we're looking forward to a wonderful summer ahead of us!

Dean's 37

All my photos ended up deleted from my phone (don't ask...I'm trying not to think about it), but thankfully I had posted this one so we have one picture from Dean's big day.  I asked what he wanted for his birthday dinner and he decided he'd rather go out to eat, so we took the whole fam with a giftcard we've been holding on to, and hit up Texas Roadhouse.  The boys rarely go to restaurants with us, so they were especially thrilled and it was a fun time out together.  We came home and had peach cobbler for dessert and Landon enjoyed it all so much that it all came back up later that night.  Ug!  But don't worry, I took care of it so Dean didn't have to.  Haha!  His actual birthday was on Sunday, and he had to be at 6am meetings at the Stake Center so he was up by 4:30 and out the door by 5:15am.  But he was chosen to be the one to stay home from Church with the sick kids (we weren't sure why Landon had thrown up so we thought we should play it safe) so he squeezed in a nap.  We had a delicious dinner at his parents of Ruebens and Ho Ho Cake for dessert.  We love any excuse for amazing food!  And for his gift we gave him a keyless entry for his car so he has a nice new upgrade.  We sure love Dean and are continually grateful for all he does to provide and care for us.  He is such a hard-worker and a great example.  He powers through hard things and makes everything work despite health challenges and obstacles.  We appreciate his love and dedication to us.

Strawberry Jam

When strawberries go on sale for $0.99 lb, I basically have no choice but to put my little minions to work to crank out 30 jars of strawberry freezer jam! This should hopefully restock us for the next year.  πŸ“ #webejammin
And Landon only had one epic spill.  Not too shabby! ;)
