On the Road

At this point we have this drive across the country thing down to a science.  Dean installed charging ports throughout the van so everyone had ample ability to charge ALL THE THINGS.  We just let everyone fry their brains until we arrive and then go through major detox.  Haha!  This year the boys had their DS from Christmas and their kindles all loaded up with shows and games and books to stay busy.

We made a quick stop outside of Chicago to meet Dianne and give her some of Hylie's shoes she had left at Grandma Camp.  They were super creative and sweet and they gifted each of the boys these boxes of candy with instructions they had to fulfill before opening them.  Tanner's took the longest because it was days before we made it to Utah and he was supposed to find a Utah license plate! ;)
And it's never a dull moment with these goofs.  Turning around and seeing Bridger like this had me rolling with laughter.  Luckily the car performed perfectly and the ride went just fine thanks to a few doses of dramamine for our car sick Tanner.

4th of July 2019

Grandma Camp wrapped up right before the 4th, so we were going through a bit of cousin withdrawals.  We spent the day cleaning the Church and then went to Grandma and Grandpa Nelsons for a BBQ dinner.  We braved the rainy weather to go see the fireworks in Moon.  We lucked out and the weather cleared long enough for the show and we just popped out of our car long enough to see them and then zipped out before the crazy traffic jam started.

Grandma Camp 2019 - All the little things...

There was so much going on all week that I wanted to capture a glimpse into all the in-between fun when we weren't up to something big.  So many sweet, cute, little moments of cousin bonding and grandparent fun...

Nothing beats a table full of cousins.

 It was Grandma's Birthday

Lillian and Bridger make a great dynamic duo

Braddock and Hylie were thrilled to be twinning in every way, from their teeth to their glasses they  were the cutest cousin buddies.

No gathering is complete without an elaborate play.

There was endless go-kart/motorcycle/electric swing rides....

It was a special treat to pick raspberries with Grandpa....

And with Tanner in attendance we of course needed to include fire.  He bought fireworks with his own money and was so sweet to let all his cousins help light them off.

We pulled out leftovers from the kids school field day and let them go to town....

And possibly best of all was the endless Kyron cuddles.  He was a dream being passed from person to person as happy as can be...

Grandma Camp 2019 - Water Fun

We had grand plans to hit up Raccoon Creek Beach and even packed up and drove all the way out there only to find out the beach was closed do to high waters from all the Spring rain.  At first we were pretty disappointed but everyone soon changed their toons when we pulled out the squirt guns, water balloons, and finished up with a trip to the Jr. High pool.  Grandpa won the day with his fire extinguisher squirt gun.  Haha!  It's amazing what you can find in the barn!
