YM/YW Nerf Night

The Young Men planned a fun nerf war night for our combined activity this month.  Somehow no matter what age you are, nerf fights just never get old.  We packed up our 6 big guns to share with everyone and Tanner and Landon sported their personalized fanny packs.  They set up tables all around the gym and the kids went to town.  Towards the end they did an all out brawl and up the ante a bit by allowing them to get back into the game if they could recite their respective youth themes to a leader.  We were all cracking up when Landon and Haley Goettman kept showing up every few minutes to recite them yet again.  I guess they were the only honest ones or the most dedicated to the game.  I'm proud of Landon for already having his memorized after only being in Young Men's for less than two months now.

Bishop quite possibly had too much fun nailing youth with darts.  Hahahaha!  I'm sure they all deserved it!

I about died laughing when David Glossenger rolled up with his suitcase full of various nerf guns.  Hahahaha!  That kid knows how to nerf war!
Tanner of course had lots of strategy planned out.

President's Day 2022

Presidents Day, Dean and the boys all had off of school, so we had to plan a little something fun.  Dean and I had unfortunately had dentist appointments mid-day, so we planned to hit up the Science Center after we got home.  The boys were good about getting lunch and getting ready to go while we were gone and as soon as we got home we loaded up and headed out.  We were excited to start using the new membership we got from Grandma and Grandpa Hilton for Christmas and we had a great day together.  We got a few hours in before they closed and then hit Sams Club on the way home for dinner.  We sure love the chance to get out and do something as a family and the Science Center was the perfect place for this nerd herd of mine.

Braddock rocked the human yo-yo.  He actually got the rope to hit the top.

The electricity show was definitely the highlight of our visit.  Check out the Tesla Coil!

Bridger's green sleeves disappeared on the green screen.  Hahaha!  He still gave a great arm-less forecast report.
And Braddock turned into a flaming red head on his forecast.

Somehow the water tables never get old....even for the 14 year old and 39 year old.  Hahaha!

Stake Ice Skating Activity

Tanner and Landon got to go to the Stake Ice Skating Activity for all the youth in our Stake.  I was supposed to drive them and a bunch of the youth in our Ward, but earlier that day I ended up with the weird symptoms I get from my complicated migraines.  I couldn't talk right and was feeling really weird with numb hands and feet.  I called Dean to come home and get Braddock and Bridger on the bus, and then slept the day away in hopes of avoiding the migraine pain that eventually accompanies those symptoms.  I never got any pain, so I guess I got lucky and slept it off.  But I didn't feel confident driving a bunch of youth around under those circumstances, so Dean stepped it up big time and did the driving for me.  He even managed to get pictures of the boys too.  He's a pretty great guy!  Landon loved being at his first Stake Youth Activity, and Tanner even managed to have a little fun too.

Valentine's 2022

We did Valentine’s Day right with homemade pizza for dinner, some Valentine’s games from Grandma and Grandpa Hilton, and then cookie decorating for dessert. Today also marks four years since we got Chloe. Love ya crazy pup! ❤️ Grateful to spend the evening with my 5 greatest blessings!  Also loved getting to help at Bridger's class party, and made some fun Valentine's for Braddock and Bridger to give to their classmates.  Dean was the cutest and ran to Sam's Club to snag me a new sewing machine for V-Day since I've been without one for quite some time thanks to an unfortunate dropping incident by the boys of my old one.  I was floored that he even thought of that.  I'm a lucky girl!

Tanner's 14

Tanner's birthday fell on a Thursday, so we made sure to start his morning off with a yummy breakfast before school that day.  He even got to open his first gift from Grandma and Grandpa Hilton....the Scaled and Icy Record by Twenty-One Pilots.  I *may* have suggested to Dean that he mention to all of Tanner's teachers that it was his birthday so they could razz him a bit.  So he got at least a little attention at school that he *claims* not to like, but I think he secretly liked it....perks of going to the school your Dad works at. ;) That evening we went to Red Lobster for dinner....Tanner's crazy seafood requests were better met by them than me.  Haha!  We were actually floored by how delicious the food was, and everyone enjoyed their dinner.  We came home to do cake and presents, and he got what he was hoping for and more.  My favorite brother gift was Braddock's adorable Tanner head out of legos to hold his glasses when he's not wearing them.  He also made the scaled and icy sai out of legos for him too.  That boy is the sweetest.  Looking back over the last year Tanner has grown and changed so much.  Not only is he 8 inches taller, but he's really come into his own sense of style and humor and he's so much fun to be around.  We sure feel blessed that he's a part of our family.  Love you bud!  Hope you enjoyed your big day.

We had a second birthday celebration at Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's that following Sunday with Grandma and PapPap too!
