Ohio Spring Break - The Drive Home

We made the drive home a fun adventure too.  First we climbed a fire tower at a local park. I was even brave enough to climb to the top this time! (The wind made it extra intimidating.) Tanner and Landon ran up with no hesitation and then came back to patiently help me and Braddock brave it.  Then we played on the playground before hitting the road. We stopped for Raising Canes for lunch (SO good!) and Tom’s Ice Cream Bowl (the boys Rick Rolled everyone with the jukebox machine! 🤣) for a treat halfway home. Now we’re back and it’s time to unpack……🫠.

I love seeing Keaton pall around like he's one of the big boys, and they include him as if he is.

Raising Cane's held up to the hype.  It's a simple menu of just chicken and fries but it was yummy!

I went to Tom's years ago with Cassie and Lisa and wanted to go back with the fam.  It was the perfect little stop.  Delicious ice cream and we couldn't resist the jukebox!

Ohio Spring Break - Easter Sunday

These cuties twinned in their new matching Bluey pajamas.

The bathroom of our Airbnb had a sliding barn door.  As I was using the bathroom I looked up to see this little foot poking through the crack of the door.  Hahahaha!  Keaton is the best!

We got dressed up and ready for Church and Keaton looked so darn cute it had to be documented!

Easter Sunday we were lucky enough to go to Church with our friends the Merrells (who left us for Columbus several years ago). They’re the kind of friends that feel like family and we had so much fun catching up! Between us we have 8 boys!!! And poor Sparky was a great sport putting up with Keaton’s affections all day long! 🤣

Ryan was so sweet with Keaton.  Getting him snacks, letting him put stickers on his head and chasing him around the house and yard.

The big boys all went out and played some frisbee.  Crazy how much they've all grown.

And we finished up the day with Cassie's homemade sugar cookies.  They had just flown back from a trip to Costa Rica the night before and she somehow pulled off a clean house, homemade lasagna, and just whipped up sugar cookies like it was no big deal.  I aspire to be just like her!  

And we even managed to match in our blue and white dresses.  Love this friend of mine and grateful that distance hasn't changed a thing!

We wore everyone out.  They were all asleep within minutes of the drive back to the Airbnb.

Even managed to snag a family Easter photo.  It was time for naps and then Tanner spoiled us with a delicious dinner of kabobs.....

He totally nailed it!

This crew got in one last dip in the hot tub before we finished up the night with our Resurrection Egg Hunt and reading the story of our Savior's Resurrection.  How grateful I am that He lives and that because of Him we all will too.

 

Ohio Spring Break - Otherworld

Saturday we went to an awesome interactive art museum in Columbus called Otherworld and boy did we feel like we were in another world! We were a bit hesitant to spend the money to go, but we all LOVED it and would totally recommend it. Mind bending for sure and totally worth the price!  The best part was that it was entertaining to both Keaton and all of us old fogies as well.  Afterwards we stopped at Red Robin for dinner to finish up the night.

 

This was one of our favorite rooms, the lighting changed depending on the record you put on the record player.

This cool room made everything black and white.  If you opened a casket in the corner things came to life and turned to color.

This was a favorite spot too.  The walls and floor would fill with color as you touched it.
