Ward Trunk or Treat

It was another fantastic Trunk-or-Treat this year.  The weather wasn't great so we trick-or-treated inside again, but we weren't complaining!  The boys got a good haul of candy and then we enjoyed a soup potluck with everyone.  The boys tricked me into eating rotting zombie skittles which I DO NOT recommend!  Yuck!  And we walked away with an award for our costumes.  Every year we look forward to seeing what the McCleery family will be.  They were Snap, Crackle, and Pop, and of course you need some milk and a spoon.  We joked about how we love each others family themes and they told us that when they were discussing as a family what they could be, their son Tyler said that next year they just need to dress up like the Nelsons.  I about died laughing at that thought.  And our Young Women's Presidency killed it in their Disney Villans costumes.

Brock passed out our candy.  And the boys helped to quickly put together our door covered in eye balls.

Voted most likely to be traded.

Can't beat Bishop Weeks' Costume!  Haha!  He was feeling left out that I only wanted his wife, Ursula's picture, so we fixed that!

Cunningham's Halloween Party

It was another great year at the Cunningham's Halloween Party.  The boys got to debut their costumes, Tanner finally had someone his age to hang with, and the boys may have got a little too into their pumpkin carving, but we'll count it a success!  We're sure grateful for fun friends who choose to include us in their festivities.

Fall Soccer 2019

Wrapped up another great soccer season! Landon killed it as the goalie today and Braddock drove the ball all the way down the field and scored on an epic sliding kick. Grateful for their hard work this season and that I get to be their #1 fan! ⚽️

Hopewell Football

We aren't a big football family.  In fact the thought of hauling all the boys to a high school football game *might* have activated some anxiety in this momma.  But it was the last game of the season and Tanner had been begging to go and meet up with his friends, and Dean even managed to get us free tickets (perks for helping revamp the eligibility database for the athletic department!) so we bundled up and headed out.  Bridger was over the moon when he found out we got to ride a bus to shuttle us from the shopping center to the football field.  He's watched his brothers climb on the bus a million times and leave him behind so FINALLY his bus dreams were coming true.  We only ended up staying through the half time shows since it was pretty late, and unfortunately Hopewell lost, but it ended up being a really fun night full of friends, concessions food, and cheering for our Vikings.  I'd even do it again next year!

Nachos + Sprite + Football = Perfect Family Night Out

Had to get a Papa Dukes Gyro!  Yum!

After a bit of a panic attack about meeting up with his friends, Tanner managed to find and hang out with them.  I was proud of him for overcoming his fears and grateful for the growth and lessons learned.  I just wish so many things weren't so difficult for him.  But that's life right!?  I secretly snagged this paparazzi shot of them running up the bleachers!  Haha!

Pumpkin Patch

We lucked out with 70 degree temperatures for our night at the pumpkin patch.  It's fun going to the same place each year and listening to the boys reminisce about years past.  It's a little bittersweet comparing old pictures and seeing how much they've grown.  Despite the beautiful weather there weren't too many people there and we even bumped into Landon's buddy Blake and his family.  We had a great time picking out pumpkins, feeding goats and bunnies, and riding trikes.  On the drive home we had a great lesson about recognizing and remembering the Lord's blessings in our lives.  We did a little leaf peeping and even spotted several deer.
